The PageUp Talent Acquisition (TA) team reached out to me. At the time a role was not available however I was invited to proceed with the application process so that should a role become available I could join PageUp with minimal delay. I was impressed that PageUp was well established in Australia for over 20 years, and I felt I might be a good fit based on my professional background, hence I decided to proceed with the application.

The application process was very easy - I did not need to send in my resume or fill out a form. I think the TA team completed my application on my behalf, using information from conversations with me, and from my LinkedIn profile which I do keep up to date. I enjoyed the application process. I got to meet my manager and we had many positive conversations. The role was described to me in detail, I got to ask lots of questions and I received responses to my satisfaction. I felt I had the right professional background for the role, and on joining PageUp I would just need to learn about PageUp business processes and skill up on product capabilities.

As part of the application process I was invited to do a couple of assessments. One of them involved reading through product information and then responding to questions on that information. The other assessment involved presenting a product demonstration based on information I had been provided. This included access to a demo platform.

Throughout the application process I was kept informed of my progress. I was not left wondering about my application status. On receiving an offer from PageUp and accepting the offer, I was asked to provide references. I was also given access to an Onboarding portal which enabled me to start the onboarding process even before my official start date (which was still a few weeks away since I had given a month’s notice at the job I was still employed in at the time). Hence I was able to work on forms for Payroll and HR, as well as learn more about PageUp even before my official start date.
