About Lauren M.

Key experience
I started my career here on an internship and have been here since!
I studied French with Business at university, and I was (as a lot of grads are) unsure where I wanted to take my career when I finished. I explored the option of doing an internship as they allow you to try things out and learn before joining a full time role. I started a six-month Marketing & Client Success internship at PathMotion straight after I graduated which gave me the chance to learn from both teams and gain exposure to a lot of areas of the business. I was very grateful when I was offered a full-time role in the CS team off the back of this internship. I've had great experience of learning, growth, development and career progression over the years I've been here and I'm really glad I took this route as an early graduate.
Current position
I look after Clinch clients
I look after a range of clients for both Clinch Recruitment Marketing and Employee Connections. My role is to help our clients make the most of the modules that they have. This covers the whole customer journey: ensuring a successful launch, running training sessions for our super users and their Insiders, providing ongoing support, running quarterly reviews, and, ultimately, ensuring they have had a really good experience and would like to continue using it when their contract is up for renewal.
Main motivation
I enjoy forming relationships with the clients I manage
The best part of my role is all of the people that I get to meet and work with on a regular basis. Our client base includes some pretty big company names all over the world (Coca-Cola, EY, Mars, Nokia, to name a few), which I found quite daunting at first, but it's really lovely to get to know the teams behind these corporate names, meet the superusers and Insiders representing them on the EC platform, and form relationships with them. It's also really rewarding seeing my clients see good results, knowing that I have helped them do that.
Top advice
Take every opportunity to learn
As I was so early on in my career when I joined the company, I've found it's really important to take the chances presented to you to try something new, even if it pushes you out of your comfort zone. For example, after 6 months in the company, I was given the opportunity to move from the Marketing team to the Client Success team (I'd never even heard of CS as a role before starting here). I'm so glad I took that chance rather than sticking with what I was familiar with - now I've been in the CS team for over four years. Similarly, over the last year, I have learned to manage the Recruitment Marketing product, and I am now looking after clients for both EC and RM. Whilst it may feel uncomfortable and new at first, there are always people to support you and over time you gain confidence and can look back at how much you've learned.
Greatest achievement
I ran the Amsterdam Marathon in October 2022
This was my first-ever marathon and I've definitely got the bug now! It was so satisfying when the months of training paid off and got me to the finish line. The atmosphere was incredible too.

What would you hope a new hire could contribute to the department?

Hi Lauren, this is the first time I use Employee Connections. Apologies if you received the question several times. I cannot see if I submitted the question properly.
