Ken U. Senior Technical Lead / Senior Principal Developer

One fundamental principle, irrespective of position, is the empowerment of personal development. From the outset, I emphasize this point clearly. As a leader, my role entails coaching, mentoring, and providing support to my team members in their personal growth endeavors. They are the architects and implementers of their own journey. As the navigator, they have the autonomy to tailor their focus areas, set the pace, and establish their commitments. Instilling this early on, especially for junior developers, cultivates a strong sense of ownership - a pivotal attribute for their professional career.

One common observation with junior developers is their quest for identity. There's a natural inclination to explore a breadth of skills and gravitate towards "shiny new things". This inclination is entirely valid. As a leader, I find great fulfillment in journeying alongside them through their process of self-discovery. I view my role as that of a guide, adapting my support based on the individual needs of my team members.
