Experience Designer

  • Philippines
  • Full time
  • PageUp

To build great companies, you need great people. That’s what inspired us to create a suite of HR technology that makes recruiting, onboarding and retaining people simple. At PageUp Group, we’re on a mission to change lives with outstanding hiring experiences. From entrepreneurial beginnings in Melbourne, we quickly grew and are proud to now have established locations in Sydney, New York, London, the Philippines, Dublin and Paris. Our platforms are used by 5.3 million users globally.

The Role

Insight-led innovation is one of our core values. As an Experience Designer, you will lead your squad to “build the right thing” and “build the thing right” by creating solutions that delight through evidence-based insights.

As part of a “Product Trio” (Design-Product-Tech), you will lead squads to find the right balance of Desirability, Viability and Feasibility, with a strong emphasis on continuous discovery and cross-functional collaboration. This means that Experience Design has a lot of influence on strategy and decision-making. So if you want to truly inform product direction and help improve people’s working lives, this role might be just the one for you.

In our team, we put our egos aside and focus on collaboration, belonging, support and the team’s achievements. We embrace honest and constructive feedback as we believe it helps us all grow and be better at what we do. We are a very diverse group of individuals and work hard to ensure inclusivity in our team and the work we produce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and lead the end-to-end solution creation from user research and problem definition to cross-functional ideation, solution sketching, prototyping, usability testing and UI design using our GEL design system.

  • Conduct user research activities - exploratory interviews, concept testing, usability studies, competitor analysis, etc.

  • Create and validate user flows, journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, etc.

  • Facilitate collaborative workshops; design sprints, ideation sessions, and experimentation creation, with support from the Stream Senior Experience Designer.

  • Ensure your designs and implementations are inclusive and accessible.

  • Work in collaboration with designers, product managers, tech leads, developers and stakeholders to evolve problem definition and proposed solutions. We want you to keep the process moving while challenging biases affecting a positive outcome.

About you

  • You are a Product or UX Designer with 2+ years of experience in a product company with an agile environment. SaaS B2B experience is a plus but not a must.

  • You know how to do your customer research, analyse your findings and translate them into insights. Experience working with the Jobs-to-be-Done methodology is a plus but not a must.

  • You have an inclusive design mindset and some interaction design skills. You can test and validate your designs, including accessibility for various users.

  • You are a great team player, highly collaborative and open to giving and receiving feedback. At the same time, you can work independently and make decisions considering all data points.

  • You demonstrate real ownership and accountability in your decisions and work. You’ll be allowed to make mistakes as long as you own them, learn from them and adjust.

  • You are empathetic with a strong ability to listen and consider other people’s points of view.

  • Positive, flexible and not intimidated by change. You have the desire to learn, improve and try new things when appropriate.

  • You are a good verbal and visual communicator, keen to improve your skills in stakeholder management and relationship building.

  • You have the good visual UI skills with potential to contribute to our GEL (Global Experience Language) Design System. Figma experience is a plus but not a must.

And of course, the perks

There’s something for everyone in the benefits we offer:

  • An extra day of leave to do something awesome (no really – it’s called an Awesome Day)

  • Flexible working - fully remote working arrangements for our Philippines employees

  • HMO

  • Generous paid parental leave for primary and secondary carers

  • Wellbeing allowance

  • Employee assistance program

  • Extended unpaid leave

  • Paid parental leave for primary and secondary caregivers

  • Volunteer leave

Our global offices also means those who dream of travel have the opportunity to take their career to new places.

At PageUp Group, we encourage people of all backgrounds and abilities to apply. Building diverse teams is the foundation of our success, so if you think you have what it takes, but don't necessarily meet every single criteria on the job description, please still reach out.
