We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Legal Counsel to join our global legal team at PageUp group. This is a permanent hybrid role based in Melbourne or Sydney.
As part of a group of HR tech global companies you will play a pivotal role in shaping the legal landscape of our organisation and our 3 global brands (PageUp, Clinch and eArcu). Reporting directly to the group’s General Counsel, you will be responsible for developing and implementing legal strategies that align with our corporate objectives while mitigating risks effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute a legal strategy that aligns with the broader corporate goals, ensuring efficient business processes while maintaining an acceptable risk profile.
Take ownership, in collaboration with Regional Sales Leads and the General Counsel, of the review, renewal, and negotiation of all PageUp contracts across various countries and jurisdictions.
Lead the management of workflow processes for contract management.
Assist the team in its development and execution of our global data protection strategy.
Oversee intellectual property matters, including the management of the trademark portfolio. Coordinate with external legal advisors and support the maintenance of watchlists to protect PageUp group's intellectual property rights.
Actively participate in the Enterprise Risk Committee and support the General Counsel in chairing duties. Identify and assess company-wide risks, developing strategies to mitigate potential legal and regulatory issues.
Provide legal support for specific areas of the business, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities. Offer expert guidance and counsel to stakeholders on legal matters affecting their respective departments.
Requirements:
In-house experience is essential.
Bachelor's degree in Law; Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent preferred.
Around 8 years PQE, with a focus on corporate and commercial law.
Proven track record in contract negotiation and management.
Ability to work autonomously and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
