The team you'll be joining
This team owns our Recruitment Marketing platform. Their mission is to help large and emerging businesses to hire smarter and faster by attracting, identifying, nurturing, and hiring the best candidates through our platform. Whilst we have been operating for over 20 years globally, this team is the newest edition to the PageUp family, founded in 2014 they very much have a collaborative lean start-up approach to development. They deliver the product road map and core development for our recruitment marketing platform. You’ll get the best of working for an established company (support/structure/benefits) and a smaller team (agility/fast pace/making a meaningful impact on a core platform) all in one!
What will you be helping us with?
You will be working quite closely with our Head of Product and Lead Developer to build out and support our Recruitment Marketing product.
This space is evolving at a rapid pace and you’ll get a chance to really shape the future of the platform. You’ll be designing, testing and shipping code into the hands of our customers on a daily basis.
We like to move fast and practice continuous delivery. To do that effectively we focus on designing and writing clean code (100% test coverage) on top of anti-fragile infrastructure (using Infrastructure as Code) on AWS.
That foundation gives us the courage to deliver many times a day into our production environment that is hosted in multiple AWS regions. and built on Ruby on Rails, backed by MySQL.

Collaborate - You’ll be working in a fast-paced collaborative cross-functional team. You’ll be providing and receiving feedback on a daily basis, we critique each other's code and suggest improvements on a daily basis.
Communicate - We share our programming challenges early. At PageUp, we don't go down programming rabbit-holes when faced with a tricky problem. Instead, we pause programming, collaborate, perhaps over a whiteboard and work together to formulate a solution.
Purpose Driven - Our environment has minimal prescribed process. Our team members take ownership over features in our platform and getting them into production. You’ll be making your own estimates, sharing your updates at a daily standup, and demo your work each week.
Quality - We write twice as much test code as production code to ensure a high standard and to facilitate changing business needs.
