As a Research Manager in our Experience Design team, you are primarily responsible for ensuring we have consistent and embedded processes for our ongoing customer and user research. You will drive the relevant research practices (e.g. ODI) to ensure all streams empathise with customers and users’ Jobs to be Done, pain points and needs. You will ensure that all research initiatives are aligned to market research and the outcomes support the product roadmap. This role works closely with our Customer Insights & Market Research team to ensure we have alignment across all research activities.
User research is distributed in our R&D “Value streams”. You will actively support our Experience Designers working collaboratively as a “Product Trio” (Design-Product-Tech) and conduct research as part of our discovery process. You will continuously improve our practices so that our teams have the processes, templates, and knowledge of PageUp systems (e.g. Dovetail, Qualtrics, Heap, Figma, Miro & Google Apps) to choose appropriate research methodologies for each initiative.

Responsible for discovering, developing and maintaining solutions that augment and grow the research capabilities of the Product organisation;
Determine and structure research methodology;
Coach and support Experience Designers and Product Managers to run their own research activities. Create and embed processes;
Maximise customer and end-user satisfaction by focusing on customers and end-users Jobs to be Done, needs and pain points to drive the vision and define the product solution;
Ensure that all new discovery research work is being captured in our systems in a way that is accessible, valuable and informative to everyone in the business;
Ensure that UX Discovery, Validation and Delivery practices are continuously improved and aligned with other Experience Designers. Drive streams to follow the right processes;
Improve time to value by reducing UX discovery and user feedback time;
User research activities are visible & transparent, easily consumable by the entire business. This includes objectives, clearly measurable goals, upcoming work and research insights.
You are a Research Manager with 5+ years of experience in a product company with an agile environment.
You will have preferably worked in a B2B SaaS, HR Technology, or adjacent industry environment;
You have previous experience with Qualtrics (or similar survey tool) and experience in survey research methods;
You have experience using web analytics tools to analyse data and generate insights (Heap, Google Analytics, Hot Jar etc.);
Manage our research repository, ensure that research is easily accessible. Experience working with Dovetail is highly regarded;
You know how to do customer research, analyse your findings and translate them into insights. Experience working with the Jobs-to-be-Done methodology is highly regarded;
You are a great team player, highly collaborative and open to giving and receiving feedback. At the same time, you can work independently and make decisions while considering all data points;
You demonstrate real ownership and accountability in your decisions and work. You’ll be allowed to make mistakes as long as you own them, learn from them and adjust;
You are empathetic with a strong ability to listen and consider other people’s points of view. You push for diversity and inclusiveness as you know those contribute to team’s happiness and better business outcomes;
Positive, flexible, not intimidated by change, and have the desire to learn, improve and try new things when required;
You are a good communicator, strong in stakeholder management, relationship building and networking skills. Excellent facilitation and storytelling skills, ability to present your work and promote your ideas to various stakeholders.
